Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood day folks!

Today is WORLD CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION DAY! (#WCID) Yes, that’s a thing! And yes, you’d think this day was created just for Planbox! And yes, you’re wrong, because it was created for the world, hence ‘WORLD’ Creativity and Innovation Day! Are we on the same page?! No?! That’s because we’re not even in the same book! Catch up buttercup!

OK! This very special day was founded by Canadian Marci Segal in Toronto, Canada, back in 2001, whose mission it was to encourage people to use their natural ability to spark new ideas, make new decisions, take new actions, and achieve/accelerate new outcomes (which is just kind of our motto) to make the WORLD a butter–sorry, I mean better (I’m hung up on buttercups now)–place to live in.

BUT(tercup)! It was not until 2017 that it was officially recognized by the UN as a day of observance to “raise awareness of the role of creativity and innovation in all aspects of human development.”

And yes, this is a pretty big deal, because according to the Creative Economy Report Widening local development pathways, (co-published by UNESCO, among others):

“Creativity and Innovation, at both the individual and group levels, have become the true wealth of nations in the 21st century.”

SO! In honor of this joyous occasion, our very own CEO Ludwig put together one very creative article that somehow manages to tie innovation into… Karate Kid! I don’t know how he did it, but he did, so here it is! And that’s what innovation is all about–thinking outside the box! Or in this case, thinking inside the (Plan)box! Ba-dum-tss! Get it? Does that make sense? OK, maybe I’ll leave the creativity to Ludwig…

And speaking of LEADER, if there’s one Leader who can dance, it’s Planbox. After all, we boogied all the way to the top, top, TOP of the latest Forrester Wave report on Innovation Management Platforms, remember? No? Well, here’s a refresher. But more on that in the next blog!

Til next time folks!
