PORTSMOUTH, UK, April 15, 2020 – Planbox, a pioneer in cloud-based AI-powered agile innovation management solutions, today announced its certificate of compliance from Cyber Essentials, a UK government information assurance scheme operated by the National Cyber Security Centre certifying that Planbox’s policies, procedures and security measures adhere to government-endorsed standards. 

Cyber Essentials demonstrates Planbox’s commitment to cyber security, and acknowledges that the company has taken the necessary steps to protect against a wide variety of the most common cyber attacks, viruses and malware. This scheme tested Planbox’s IT defences against the following five critical technical security controls, all of which must be met in order to achieve the Cyber Essentials accreditation:

  • Firewalls
  • Secure Configuration
  • User Access Control
  • Malware Protection
  • Patch Management

Introduced by the UK government Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Cyber Essentials was designed to encourage organisations to adopt good practice in information security, to ensure the protection of data from common cyber threats, and for companies to understand how that data can be used, secured, or compromised.
