MONTREAL, QC, August 30, 2019 – Planbox, a leading provider of cloud-based AI-Powered Agile Innovation Management solutions, hosted a webinar today on Driving Sustainable Innovation through Collaboration with Ludwig Melik, CEO of Planbox, and guest speaker Wayne Kurtzman, Collaboration and Social Media Research Director at IDC.

Ludwig kicked-off the webinar with a brief  discussion on how to operationalize innovation and how to achieve sustainable innovation, the purpose of which is to help organizations overcome challenges when designing collaboration efforts that create innovation.

Wayne is an experienced technologist, practitioner and analyst of enterprise social media, collaboration and analytics programs, and is also responsible for the IDC Social Communities and Collaboration practice. In this webinar he covered the following four topics from his recent research on the importance of purpose-driven collaboration:

  1. How did we get here and what is happening? A brief overview of the customerization of technology and how it translates to better customer and employee experience and more governance and compliance challenges.
  2. How to prepare your business to support ongoing collaboration and innovation practices and overcome challenges such as: outdated KPIs, siloed DX initiatives, tactical plans, limited experience and silos of innovation.
  3. Why innovation is the key to The Future of Work, and your organization’s success. In this section of the webinar Wayne introduced IDC ’s future of work framework with three dimensions: culture (engaged and empowered workers aligned to new digital skills), force (collaboration between humans and technology) and space (connected, secure work environment, independent of space and time).
  4. What works: key insights to create an agile, repeatable framework for you to deliver sustainable innovation and results.

“Collaboration is not just technical. It’s the cultural willingness to share and win as a team using the right technologies and the assumption that everyone can add value,” said Wayne.

Ludwig then discussed in more detail how the Planbox platform can serve as the single system of record for innovation for your organization and help you achieve one of three important business goals: breakthrough innovation, continuous improvement, or startup evaluation. As Ludwig pointed out, after you have formulated the right business strategy for your company, the tools and frameworks that Planbox offers can guide you through all stages of the innovation process: discover, launch, collaborate, prioritize, pitch, experiment and initiate. Ultimately, with the Planbox process you can develop a robust ecosystem of partners, startups, clients and employees to support your business and achieve desired business outcomes.

“Continuous Innovation Management creates a path for continuous improvement, improved employee experience and customer experience. It also creates a mechanism to capture and leverage knowledge,” added Wayne.
