Planbox Press Release – Southlake Regional Health Centre Selects Planbox for Patient Centered Innovation Management

Montreal, Canada – Southlake Regional Health Centre (Southlake), a full-service hospital with a regional, clinically advanced focus, has selected to trial Planbox to manage ideas and suggestions from its healthcare staff.

Southlake will initially pilot Planbox as a proof of concept for challenge-driven innovation campaigns; calling on staff and physicians to submit their suggestions for addressing specific challenges that the health centre faces as a healthcare organization and more broadly as a healthcare system. Having spent the last five years establishing an innovation center focused on supporting external entrepreneurs in developing solutions to Southlake’s healthcare challenges, the innovation team is turning its focus to engaging hospital staff and physicians by adopting a collaborative and entrepreneurial approach to finding and developing creative solutions to the problems they face as a large community acute care hospital. The innovation team will encourage staff and physicians to respond to and collaborate with each other on idea generation related to patient safety, providing the highest possible quality services to Southlake’s patients and to ensure that the organization remains patient centered.

Southlake’s team looked at a variety of idea management platforms off and on over the years. The initiative took on more importance now that Southlake is increasing its focus on engaging its own staff and physicians on bringing forth their ideas on how to provide better, safer, higher-quality patient-centered care and on how to help solve the big challenges acute care is facing. Planbox’s flexible functionality manages the many great ideas that Southlake’s community brings forward and the Planbox innovation management tool will help focus them on addressing those challenges.
