Initiatives, Projects, Items and Tasks.
Planbox uses four levels of Management, allowing you to do Product Management.
Planbox's first level is called an Initiative, which is the global container of projects and iterations. Initiatives are usually products, clients or business units.
A Project is a child container of an initiative. It contains people, items and tasks. You invite people to a project. You create items in a project. Project examples could be:
Web Site, Application, Marketing or B-Dev.
Iterations are time periods in which items must get done. They are called sprints in Scrum framework.
Custom Iteration Planning (Sprints)
Planbox is a Product Management Software that lets you manage using Agile principles... and a web-browser!
Core to Agile and Scrum are iterations; finite but customizable periods of time (usually 1 to 4 weeks) in which you work on items in order to deliver a fully working feature.
- Current is the iteration you are working on.
- Next is the iteration you are planning next.
- Backlog contains every item not yet planned in your Product Backlog.
Iterations are containers of items or stories. An item is anything which must get done, small or large. Each item may hold smaller tasks to prioritize and get things done.
Manage hundreds of items easily like in a spreadsheet - only better. Use the drag & drop interface to prioritize and move things around.
Tracking Progress and Performance
Our Product Management Software tracks everything and displays the progress of your projects, teams and team members. You know in a glance how much work is assigned and remains, how much is accomplished and how much time it took.
Agile and Scrum -friendly, our web-based software tracks the velocity of your entire team and each individual.
Planbox allows you to manually set an individual's velocity for an iteration, whether he is full time, part-time or on holidays.
Time Tracking and Logging
Planbox makes it easy for individuals to work with tasks. You can do it all within an item.
Here, when Martin gets to working on the design for the "Contact us" page, he clicks on Start and Planbox starts logging time. When Martin is done, he clicks on Complete and can adjust the logged time if need be.
